Dom James is a London based composer creating scores and conjuring sound worlds that captivate and excite. He has worked on numerous major TV and film projects in the UK and USA. Nominations include the BBC New Television Composer award. He is also known for being one half of alt pop duo Shaker Neon.

Additional music for Ruth Barrett. This is the origin story of Ben Edwards, fan favourite in Amazon’s smash hit The Terminal List. David DiGilio leads an incredible team who brought this action thriller to life. The writing and on screen team comprises of many talented veterans who ensure that every details is life like and true to real military experience.

The Girlfriend is a psychological thriller television miniseries for Amazon Prime Video directed by Robin Wright and Andrea Harkin.

Additional music and arrangements for Ruth Barrett and Steffen Thum. Old Guard finally got its sequel. Working with Ruth and the wider team (produced by Lorne Balfe) was a thrill. Antique horns, devastating percussion, and huge emotional themes carry the action.

Alongside the usual transcriptions, Dominik wanted a few moments of rich pastural orchestral arrangements for this unique period drama on Jane Austen’s family life. ‘Take it to the hills’ was Dominik’s note. It’s a great four-parter, recorded by Toby Wood in Abbey Road 2.

Innovative sounds from bashing around in the steel hull of a boat moored up near my studio gave some of the action scenes a real metallic punch.
